The FreeGlide® is a highly innovative in-line powder sampler. We are so confident in the FreeGlide® that we guarantee that it will not stick in operation. No other manufacturers of inline powder samplers offer this guarantee.
The FreeGlide® is designed to take samples of free falling powders as they move under gravity through a pipe.
Advantages of the FreeGlide
| - |
The bore of the pipe is kept clear
when the sampler is resting |
| - |
The sample is collected in a cup |
| - |
All product contact parts are made from FDA acceptable materials |
| - |

How it Works |
|

Above: The FreeGlide in use
|
A 50ml cup is extended into the downpipe to catch a sample of the falling powder.
The cup is then returned to the sampler.
The cup is inverted to drop the sample into a bottle or some other sample collection system.

| The Flexible Diaphragm |
|
At the heart of the FreeGlide® is a flexible polymer diaphragm. This patented diaphragm keeps the powdered product out of the mechanical sliding surfaces of the device.
If powder gets in between the sliding surfaces of the sampler it will quickly stick and cause the sampler to jam.
Only the FreeGlide® has this special patented diaphragm.
The Diaphragm is available in three FDA acceptable polymers:
- Silicone
- EPDM
- Viton

| Manual or Automatic Operation |
The FreeGlide® is available with either manual operation or pneumatic operation.
- Pneumatic Actuation requires compressed air at 6 barg
- Control Systems are available

| FreeGlide Sizes |
|
There are three sizes of FreeGlide® - each size is designed to work with a different diameter downpipe
FreeGlides can work with downpipes that are larger than 100mm (4"). |

| Sample Collection |
|
The FreeGlide® discharge chute ends with a 2" triclamp fitting.
The recommended sample collection system is to attach a PTFE bottle adapter to the discharge chute. The sample collection bottle then screws into the bottle adapter. |

| High Containment Sampling |
| Sampling Systems are proud to offer the ChargePoint Split Butterfly Valve for use with the FreeGlide® Sampler. The ChargePoint Split Butterfly Valve clamps on to the bottom of the discharge chute.
Sample highly potent products easily and safely with the FreeGlide® and the ChargePoint Split Butterfly Valve
The ChargePoint Split Butterfly Valve has many features to enable you to achieve containment levels of less than 10 micrograms per cubic metre. |

| FreeGlide Installation |
|
The FreeGlide® is supplied with a special boss. This boss is custom made to suit the diameter of the pipe where the FreeGlide® is to be installed.
The main body of the FreeGlide® then clamps on to the boss. This means that the FreeGlide® can be quickly and easily removed for cleaning. |
